FIRST IMPRESSIONS

» visual: Link. Patrick stands at six foot four and is described often as hugely strong, with many references being made to his muscular frame. Although he's only twenty-eight in canon, his actor is a good twelve years older. Much of this can be explained away as simply the hardships of soldiering, which would have prematurely aged him anyway.

» olfactory: The thick scent of gunpowder, mixed with the natural smell of a man who seldom has chance to bathe
» demeanour: Patrick is a placid man with a contented demeanor. He prefers to watch the world go by with a wry sense of humor and will often be content to sit by and listen with a distant expression. But in a battle, he transforms into a mad, warsong singing warrior with an uncontrollable rage.

IN CHARACTER

» physical affection: Like all things, Harper takes a calm approach to affection. It's not uncommon for a woman to pair up with Harper for his protection and he's not the sort of to make much ado about it.
» physical violence: He'll let most offenses go by without resorting to fighting back, but given enough insult or his pride insulted, he may resort to using his fists to settle a dispute.
» relationships: As a soldier, Harper is flexible in his relationships, but has no aspirations of settling down or marrying.
» psychic/telepath/etc: He's completely open to that so long as there's fair warning ahead of time.
» magic: He's utterly magic free, but he does believe in the stuff.
» offensive subjects & triggers: Don't insult Ireland around him.

OUT OF CHARACTER

» backtags: I'm fine with backtagging. But I enjoy boomeranging too.
» threadhops: Just as long as you're courteous about it, I'm good with it. (If you threadhop on my post to tag someone else, be considerate about what you're doing to my inbox).
» fourthwalls: He's from historical events, so he'd probably just be flattered someone thought to write about him. Go for it.
» triggers: Patrick is foul mouthed and prone to using some colorful vocabulary. He's bound to discuss some pretty brutal subjects without much thought to them.
